모범 답안) Mom said we could earn Mom Bucks by doing chores and good deeds and stuff like that, and we could trade them in for REAL money.

 

* chore : an ordinary job that must be done regularly

You can go and play after you’ve done your chores.

모범 답안) I thought I had struck it rich.

4. 근데 형은 엄마 말이 끝나기도 전에 자기 돈을 몽땅 다 현금으로 바꿨다.

 

나의 영작) But my brother turned all his fake money into cash even before Mom ended talking.

 

모범 답안) But Rodrick cashed in his whole stash before Mom was even done talking.

 

* cash in : to exchange something such as an insurance policy or share option for its value in money

You will not receive the true value of your policy if you cash it in early.

5. 파티가 이럴 줄 알았더라면 애초에 안 왔을 텐데.

 

나의 영작) If I had known what the party is like, I couldn't have joined it.

 

모범 답안) I just wish I would have known what the party was gonna be like so I could have skipped it.

나의 영작) The kid was the one who had joined the party held a hour ago.

 

모범 답안) He was from the LAST birthday Party that happened an hour earlier.
